Motivated by a desire to demonstrate our appellation in its most streamlined form, we are thrilled to launch our inaugural release of Ex Post Facto Pinot Noir with the 2024 vintage. Thoughtfully selected blocks within our estate vineyards were completely destemmed, managed solely by hand throughout fermentation and subsequently raised in completely neutral barrels for a succinct chapter of élevage. The outcome of those collective circumstances is a wine with tremendous purity, showcasing the unbridled energy and vibrancy of our Sta. Rita Hills.

CRAFT
100% destemmed. This showcases the varietal expression of Pinot Noir as a lighter bodied, red fruited wine with a softer structure.

Made in our 1.5 stainless steel fermenters with maceration lasting about 30 days.

Ex Post Facto is pressed into barrels throughout November. The wine is racked into stainless steel tanks near the middle of January. In total, only about 3 months in neutral barrel.

CELLARING
All of the wines are produced with the intention of aging and cellaring for at least 10 years and can easily be enjoyed after 15 years.
